A petite Parlour Guitar by Christian Friedrich Bauer 1821 -1878 with mother of pearl inlay and friction pegs.
Xenia Brunner, the curator of the Klingenthal museum in Markneukirchen, Germany writes;
Congratulation! The guitar is probably a real treasure. Christian Friedrich Bauer was one of the best violin (and guitar) makers of the 19th century in Klingenthal. We know not many instruments from him, but they are very best handmade. He branded his instruments with „C.F.Bauer“
The strawberry and fruit inlay in mother of pearl is typical of Bauer and most of his instruments have similar motifs.
